A propane tank aboard a boat near Avalon exploded Saturday, injuring two people who were on the vessel.
Firefighters were dispatched at 11:07 a.m. to a boat in the Pacific Ocean at Moonstone Beach, the Los Angeles County Fire Department reported.
The victims were taken in stable condition to an area hospital for medical attention. No other injuries were reported.
The cause of the explosion was not immediately known.
